Maximally Advanced, Yet Acceptable

Raymond Loewy (1893-1986) coined the MAYA principle. Most advanced, yet acceptable.

Loewy taught us to design our products with just the right balance between the present and a new and innovative future. If we don’t hit the right balance, our users won’t embrace nor buy our products, Loewy emphasised.

That's why I think slight advancements in ideas are worth something and not grand ideas.

You want to have a known market but want to innovate that little bit more, of whatever little is left in innovation.
